I got a Sig P229 SAS when they first came out with them in 2007. Fantastic little pistol for concealed carry. I really like the SAS (Sig Anti Snag) design where all the rough edges have been melted or smoothed out. One thing I had to get use to was the DAK (Double Action Kellerman) trigger system. With the DAK system it actually has three different trigger pulls. Pick it up, load it and the first pull is long, smooth and light, let the trigger go all the way back forward and every return shot is the same. After the first shot you have a option with the DAK system. Let the trigger come forward until you feel the click and pull again and the second pull is a lot shorter but a little heavier. The third trigger pull in the DAK system is their fallback or failsafe pull. If you pull the trigger and get a misfire/bum primer and you want to give it a second chance the trigger will give it another chance. The pull of the hammer will raise and drop the hammer again without manual cocking, it's a long heavy pull but makes a nice feature in emergency's.
I liked the P229 SAS so much I got a P239 SAS a few months later. The P229 is my primary carry and the P239 is my backup. The only real difference is the P229 is a 12+1 round pistol and the P239 is a 7+1 round pistol. They are both superb shooters and I have cycled thousands of rounds through each.
