Recently purchased a m5040 and was wondering should a light come on when u put it in 4wd and also when u put the headlights on bright? I checked the fuses and they are all good. Anyone have any ideas or a tractor like this that might give me a heads up?

I have a M5040 and the dash indicator lights you mentioned don't work either. It came from the factory that way.

They light up on our M8540, but I am not sure about the M5040; would assume they are the same though.

I just purchased a new m5040 1 month ago and a green tractor emblem lights up when I engage 4X4.

My 7040 has the green light that lights up when the front drive is engaged.

I remember reading about some issues with early ones that had some of the wires under the dash with bad or missing connections.

Does anyone know which wires are supposed to be hooked up or what connections may need to be looked at

ditto on the 4wd light. I don't think mine has a high beam indicator. But if you need the light, you can usually tell easily if it's high or low.
