Buying Advice M5640SU

Did the front axle look different from a M5140 or M6040? I know when i bought my M8540 i was looking at the NH 4000 series and the T4 power stars and the axle on the T4 looked light compared to the previous generation.

The m8540 looks pretty beefy and i thought the smaller m series looked pretty solid compared to most of the competition. I've never seen the SU though

Dave don't forget I'm talking 2wd here. The 5640SU is 2wd. The only 5140 or 6040's I have ever looked at were 4wd

Oh yeah i forgot sorry Bill, the only 2wd m40s ive seen were 8540 or 9540s and none have had loaders. they were used for mowing operations

Have you considered any of the kioti tractors might be able to get a 4wd for the price of a kubota 2wd. Ive never priced one out but most everyone claims they are thousands cheaper than the big brands.

if your wanting to do this. don't wait around. there are only limited field inventory on these things right now. another few months and you'll be paying more for a 2WD Tier 4 than you would have for a 4WD Tier 3.

Sounds like good advice. Thank you. Are all 2013 tractors going to be Tier 4?

Must be a regional thing, my dealer had only one M40 on his lot last week.

I have 19 :)

M-series business is regional. There are many dealers who sell very few M's, then there are others who do more M's than BX's. There is a huge variety of market needs out there.
