My neighbor has a M5700 2wd with fel and he loves it. It has been trouble free for two years. I have the next size down (M4900) and it is the best tractor I've ever owned by far. Good luck on your new purchase.
At this site the larger tractors are in the minority - so you may not get a lot of replies. But lately there are more and more people chosing bigger models. Several L5030's, MX5000's etc. are showing up in the posts. There have been a small number of M4900/M5700 owners who have shared their enthusiasm here. I don't think I've heard anything but absolutely glowing comments. And rightly so. The only thing better than a beautifully built little Kubota is a beautifully built BIG one. Of course I'm biased - my L5450 has 5 cylinders, is about the same power as the M5700, maybe a pinch stronger/heavier frame & castings. It's 8 years old, has about 1000 hours, and no defects of any kind. My opinion is the M4900/M5700 are the most tractor for the dollar in the whole Kubota lineup.

The M4900S & the M5700S are some of my favorite tractors. 5 Cylinder Kubota diesel, shuttle transmission (now with the addition of the hydraulic shuttle), fully synchronized 8X8, comes with one circut of rear remote hydraulics. Good loader with 2205 lbs of lift. Very popular tractors in our area. We sell more M4900s here than M5700s. Many people step up to the M6800 if they need more hp.
