A JD 210LE or the Case 570 skips weigh in at around 14.000 pounds. That requires a truck, not a pick up, and capable trailer to transport. Weight and hydraulic capability is what you look for in a good TLB or a TL. The
M59 is a good tractor for what it is. You can put it on a trailer and pull it behind your 3/4 ton or a one ton pick up. You can't with a real construction tractor.
When you look at the big stuff, the 210LE has about 8 or 9000 pounds of FEL brake out force and a lot more lift capacity than the
M59. They are heavy steel real construction tractors. We are talking about two completely different animals here. For the hobbiest or a guy who does light construction work the
M59 would work okay. But if you want to move a lot of dirt, or dig large holes quick, you have to step up to a real construction tractor. The 210LE is around $56,000.00 OTD. The Case 570 is about the same. The backhoes are about $20,000.00 more than a skip. It's all relevent.
