I have been looking at the M6800 and the JD 5420. There is such a price difference between the two, I'll probably go with the M6800. However, I have three questions. The engine size on the JD5420 is 276 cu. in. and the M6800 is 202 cu. in. The PTO HP is about the same, 65hp for the JD and 62hp for the Bota at about the same RPM, 2400 for the JD and 2600 for the Bota. Does this effect engine life or power on hills, etc.?
There is huge difference in the hydraulic pump capacity, 11gpm for the Bota and 22.5 for the JD. What is does this mean as far as the operation? I'll be using a loader, a pull type bush hog and a mower. Another question, the Bota dealer has recommended a Woods loader over the Bota because of lift capacity and price. It's $300 less and comes with the quick detactment, which is an option for the Bota. Any thoughts?
The JD has wet cylinder liner and the Bota has dry. What does this mean?
I'll appreciate any comments.
