Kubot M6800 & GR2110
Hello People,

I currently own a L3130 and I am very interested in trading it in on a new M6800. This machine makes mine look like a Tonka. Does anyone own one that is happy with it. This has the shuttle shift and cab which are the items I am looking for. The dealer stated I could get the one on his lot for $40,800 with the fel, ag tires, am/fm cd stereo, rear wiper, the quick disconnect coupler for the bucket and a subframe for a woods 9000 backhoe. What do you think? The weight of the unit is huge at 7000 pounds and the cab is phenomenal. It should easily power my 6 foot snow blower without any lay down which happens now with the 3130. My 3130 has 90 hours on it and is a year old. The dealer will give me 17000.00 for it on a trade. I paid 20,000./forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I'd appreciate any thoughts.

I have test driven an M6800 and it is awesome. I wasn't aware that you could mount a backhoe on it if you have the cab model. They also make a self leveling loader for it if that is something you need. Good luck!

I have had one for a couple of years now....Hydraulic shuttle 4wheel drive, and Bushhog loader. I have the open station version, no cab. I use it for mowing, pulling a 6ft mower, doing loader werk, moving rolls of hay for a neighbor.....etc I have not found anything it can't do yet. very well built. the only thing I have found that the seat is awful.....after sitting on it for 8 hours mowing I feel as if I was beat with a 2X4....looking into an air ride seat.

Hope this helps

ED

We have a four month old M6800 that just went past 70 hours this weekend. It has the ATI SkidSteer quick attach bucket, toothbar (not pictured), hydraulic shuttle shift, MFWD, two sets of remotes, fluid filled rear tires, and a canopy. After spending 8 solid hours on it this weekend, I wish I had a cab!

The canopy is nice, but it isn't a climate controlled environment. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif We have been pleased with the tractor and its been a solid performer. To date, there have been no issues with the tractor. The only option I would have liked to have gotten would have been the cab, but the farm's finances wouldn't allow for that. Instead, we got a new 8' Bush Whacker rotary mower. Hopefully, it'll be here Wednesday.

I can feel your pain. The cab is the one reason for looking away from my L3130. I felt if I was going that far then why not go for broke. Literally. Thanks for the help.

From all that I read, researched and been told the M6800 is the best tractor Kubota has ever made. I am also considering trading up to one with a cab.

That's exactly what I wanted to hear. This will make my third Kubota from a B7300 to the L3130 to hopefully my last M6800. Thanks for the info. Good Luck with your upgrade. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

My Father has a M6800 hydro shuttle. He has had it for about 2 years and has around 400+ hours on it. No loader. He mainly uses it for plowing and brush cutting. No problems at all and he really likes it. I have driven it a couple of times, and it is a little more tractor than my L3130, which I also enjoy very much. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif I don't see how you could go wrong, it has plenty of power.

I have the M5700 cab model. The cab comes in handy when I'm raking the field in 90* heat. I put the air on & listen to Rush or FM. With all the dust that was flying, I couldn't imagine doing the job without the cab. I push an 80" snowplow with no problem. Other attchments are 4 in 1 bucket, Woods 8400 brushbull, TR3 rake. I had a woods 9000 backhoe and it was a great unit but very cramped working with the cab. I finally traded it for a Bobcat 430 excavator. The tractor is pretty awesome.

Its Wednesday and we still haven't seen any pictures or a post about your new tractor. C'mon, I know you have to be enjoying the quiet comforts of your new cab tractor, but I also know for a fact it doesn't have a bathroom in it. So, next time you step out for a potty break, on your way back to the new tractor, grab a camera, take some pics, and let us see your new beast of burden.

I have a M6800, 4x4, cab. bush Hog loader, forks, round bale spear, quick detach skid steer compatable. I have owned it for about a year and a half. It has the xtra hydralics behind (2 spool) and a couple of weeks ago I put 600 pounds of weight in the back hubs on the inside (can't hardly see it, but you sure can tell a difference and it makes the ride a lot better) I baled (5x5 round baler) around 2 hundreds acres of hay this year and had 0 problems. So far I like the Kubota better than my 285 MF, 3600 Ford or 5210 JD. The cab isn't as big a some, but I believe the heat and AC are second to none in the cab. On a 95 degree day i never turned the AC above the low setting. The engine is quiet in the cab also. The only thing I had a problem with was the draw bar sets 20 inches off the ground which doesn't work good with some machinery. I bought the clevis attachment and put on it that makes where you can hook equipment 5 inches lower and that solved the problem. Any other questions you might have I believe I can anwser them. From my experience so far these are tough tractors. A lot of people want to say they don't weigh enough, but what causes this is Kubota does not put as much cast in their housings as other tractors which make them weigh less, but are stronger (You can look at the housing and see this with your own eyes.)

I absolutely cannot get enough of it. It is so much smoother and more powerful than my 3130 I can't believe it. My wife is truly a Kubota widow.
I will post pictures as soon as I can figure out how to reduce the image size enough for this forum to accept them. Thanks.

That great info. I appreciate your input. I was wondering about the hook system and that answered that question.
