M7040HD clutch Slipping ????

I hauled it in to the dealer last night(40 miles) and had the tech look at it. He checked the linkage and says it looks ok. It was almost quitting time when I got there so he told me he will work on it today. The tech was saying something about a value not functioning properly and he has to drop the fuel tank to get to it?? I also spoke with the sales guy and he said he will deliver it to my house when it is done. So I just hope the tech finds the problem soon as I miss my Bota already.

Keep us posted! That's a crying shame that you had to haul that big-A tractor in to the dealer yourself. I'd believe more likely that it was something simple causing the problem. Of course, I guess if there's a bad valve that's obscured by the fuel tank then you do what ya gotta do to get it fixed right. Like I said, let us know how it goes. Good luck!

Just a quick update. The dealer is getting a new linkage assembly or valve in. I didn't quite follow him on exactly what part it is but he just said Kubota was having some trouble with this part and they redesigned the part after my tractor was made. He said he will get it in and I should have my tractor back the first of the week. Did anyone of you have this problem with your M7040? My tractor is an 06 model.

Just got my tractor back yesterday. I wasn't at home when he brought the tractor back so I didn't have a chance yet to ask him for the actual part # but the last time I spoke with him on the phone he called it a shuttle update kit. I will post the part # if I can get it from my dealer.What fun to have my tractor back , I cut 3 acres of hay last night with it.
