UPDATE: Sadly, our Kubota dealer was not familiar with the sub-tank setup on this model. He will make some inquiries and let me know but for now, I will just accept that it is there for an unknown reason and move on.

UPDATE: Here are the two alternate parts diagram for the secondary tank arrangement. I do not know the purpose of this arrangement and still have not confirmed which one is fitted to my machine. Regardless of tank, both are fitted below the engine, just aft of the front axle. The primary tank (upper with fuel filling pipe) feeds the secondary tank which in turn feeds the engine (via filter, separator, hand pump, IP, etc). I am not sure what draws the fuel out of this tank, (suction from fuel pump or pressure from above).
