2003 Kubota M9000DTL 2001 JD 2252 Orchard Tractor Cat 216 Skidsteer 1999 JD 450H Dozer 1994 JD 644G wheel loader
Now I realize that not too many, in fact nobody that I know of has a Kubota M9000 that is currently posting on this board but just in case someone someday is interested I thought I would go ahead and post what it took for the 50 hour service. I had this priced out at Mid Valley tractor co in Eugene Oregon where I bought my tractor and another local dealer. The other dealer wanted $426 for the same service that I got at Mid Valley for 309.40.

Outer air cartridge 1 12.90 12.90
Engine filter 1 18.33 18.33
Fuel filter 1 5.95 5.95
Hyd filter 2 23.00 46.00
Motor oil 11 2.33 25.63
Hyd oil 54 1.60 86.40
Grease 1 2.35 2.35
EPA Fee 1 1.00 1.00
Labor 1.5 55.00 82.50
Gear 80w-90 13 2.18 28.34

Total 309.40

Some of these quantities differ from what is in my manual but they are close.

For your information.

How do you like that tractor?

Since you asked. I really really like it.

It has worked perfectly since I got it. It’s quiet, smooth, and really powerful. I used to have to be full throttle on my old tractor to haul the full manure spreader up our hill but this tractor will do it faster at little more than idle. I level the barns with a large pull type leveler. 4wd really helps. It’s amazing how much material it will pull. The creeper gears come in handy also. I used to push my old tractor to the point that I would think to myself,”you’re going to break something”. With this tractor I feel like all my implements are undersized.

Attached is a picture that I have posted many times but it's the only one handy. Sorry

Your M9000 is among the biggest of this site's tractors, but the whole group seems to be slowly migrating in your direction. There's nothing quite as satisfying as a tractor that is comfortably sized for serious work. Often the posts here describe some limitation or other with equipment - usually it's related to lifting capacity or pto power. As people gain more experience with tractors, many tend to want the next size up. Only a few years ago, the L4200 was on the "big" side here. But now there is a flock of L5030's and good number of MX5000's, M4900's, M5700's and at least one M6800 I can think of.

I have a fairly stout L5450 that often brings a smile to my face when I get into a tough spot and it just powers through effortlessly. I'll bet your situations are proportionally tougher, and the smiles wider.

3 rules of tractoring: Power is good, so is weight, no such thing as too much tractor.

Take care,

Dick Bargeron

Thanks for the reply Dick

We also have many NH utility (TN) and JD (54XX and 64XX) utility sized tractors around.

I don’t use my tractor for plowing fields and certainly feel that information in this forum is more applicable to my situation. I really enjoy the build it yourself section. It’s fun to see what others are building and share some of my own projects.

I think you forgot to attach the picture.

But in the meantime, here is a picture of my 1989 Kubota M8950 and 15' Rhino mower. My Kubota has just under 8000 hours on it. Still runs great!

Wow Dave 8000hrs. Thats great!! I figure that I will only put on about 250hrs a year so it will take me awhile to get to that count.

Sorry about the picture. I'm not sure what happened. Let try again.

Eric
