M9540 Tippy / Light in the Rear?

The 9540 is light for HP. That can be an advantage, but not for loader work. My cousin has 3 of them. Had to ballast the rear tires to safely handle 5x6 rolls of hay.
My NH TN70A will do it without ballast, but it weighs more, even without a cab.
The John Deere's have no problem with that bale. I did have wheel weights installed on the new one, because I wanted to use the grapple without anything on the 3PH.

Comparing the NH to the Kubota, yes the weight difference is significant. And, it would handle the load better. But, for me, I probably wouldn't buy a used NH tractor now. We have none of the local NH dealers left in my area. They've either gone out of business or they're selling another brand.

I agree with Bigfoot. Kubota's by nature are light for their HP. That's by design. It's their niche. They fill it very well.

I have filled rears, cast centers and 150lb cast weight on each side. Set up like that it would handle hay comfortably unless you were on very steep ground, nose down.

I have a Grapple on 90% of the time. The LA1354 FEL is very strong. It will Grapple way more weight than the tractor can handle. I carry a 1500lb BB or a 1800lb weight rack if doing heavy Grapple work in the timber.

My 9540 has 1500hrs without a single issue. Very dependable. Very comfortable as a Utility tractor.
