M9540

Can anyone tell me if they have a Kubota M9540 and what their opinion is of this tractor......My neighbor and close friend is looking into buying one and wants to know what people think of them....pros and cons...thankyou

I have one. Good tractor, big, powerful (compared to other Kubotas). Lots of torque.

I only use mine for pulling a 15' batwing mower.

We have an M8540 with hydraulic Shuttle 12F/12R, cab and the same tires that come on the M9540. They are essentially the same tractor and we really love ours. We use it mostly to pull a 10' Woods DS1260 and for loader work.

Thanks guys, i will let my neighbor know. He has a massey ferguson about the same size as the 9540 and has had more trouble than its worth. he bought it used from a dealer and it spends more time in the shop than it does on the farm.

Any company can make a bad tractor, we had a Case CX80 bought new in 1990 and had nothing but trouble with it and took a beating on our "trade in", more like donation, but many have really good service out of Case.

I made sure the dealer knew all about the tractor's history and he sold it to an independent shop and they are using it on their farm.

I sure can understand how your neighbor feels though as we did not even consider Case when shopping for a replacement.
