Being in the car biz for 22 years now, I am witnessing some uncharted ground. I agree that the Big 3 have done this to themselves. The blame can be laid on corp. AND new dealers.....Corprate for letting the new dealers saturate the territory. New Dealers for not thinking ahead to see this coming. I have worked for both GM and Chrysler....thank God I was transfered down to Mazda before all this hit. My thoughts are that GM and Chrysler should be taken off of the market all together.....Thier UAW structure, health care plans, marketing, and whatnot have been working like the government anyways! Paying too much for assembly,health care, CEO's bonus's , .....the imports pay thier workers a normal pay, no exuberent CEO pay or bonuses, no corp jets, multi million dollar houses. Who cares where a car comes from? If they can make a solid, reliable car at a reasonable price, really who cares?Be it China, Russia, or India, If they can orchistrate a viable business...Welcome to the car Biz!
