Made my Own Implements

[Neat 1500]

Bit boring buying implements, plus to buy a descent one you have to pay the money. i made the carry all for about $130 odd dollars and the towbar about $20. they will never break, i think they were over engineered:laughing: but thats me, i tend to do that. i am going to make a Quick Hitch next as i am over swapping implements the old way:confused2:

Nice job on the hauler!! Built WAY heavy, loks like it would carry an elephant....or two!!! No5t sure I understant the blue hitch if you plan to put a drawbar in it why did you "seal" the lower tube that extends out the back? How do you plan to put the ball in it? Just askin!! If you are going to make your own QH, depending how you do it you will have to modify your top link mount on the carry-all.
P.S. I have that same radio!!!

I would ask the same question, you can't slide a 2" square tube hitch into the receiver with it welded shut. Where is the ball going??

The carry all ooks great, and very sturdy. Excellent work!

Nice looking fabrication work and super strong carry all. If you are planning on a quick hitch I would build all the new implements to quick hitch specs from the start. Clevis design works well with the quick hitch but you need clear space below them to allow for the hooks to raise and hookup.

oops wrong photo of the tow bar. yes i have made all of the implements match so when i make a QH it will lock on all of them with no stuffing around.now you can see the tongue i have welded on, just have to drill the holes in it.
i made the towbar before i decided to make a QH otherwise i would have made it so you could put the gooseneck in the QH frame and use that as a towbar but anyway, just adds to the list...

there is 40x40 angle iron welded to the tube so one edge is level with the bottom of the tube, leaving 25mm from the top of the A/I to the top of the tube. the redgum boards are 20mm thick so they are almost flush with the top.
