there is 40x40 angle iron welded to the tube so one edge is level with the bottom of the tube, leaving 25mm from the top of the A/I to the top of the tube. the redgum boards are 20mm thick so they are almost flush with the top.

Kind of lost me here? im thinking its all the Metric lingo going on, i do realize what your saying just not quite sure about it all?

The 40 x 40 is in milimeters, which is roughly 1.5"x1.5" angle. The 25mm is roughly 1".

I knew it was milimeters but at first i was thinking inches or something, i was like thats one long piece!

Looks good but I am curious how you will fit the IMatch or quick hitch as it appears the top link holes are too high. The vertical distance between the lower pin centers and the top link hole centers should be 15 inches exactly.

Here are two implements I built at home that are worthwhile yet easy projects you might want to consider. The landplane and harrow are both 8' wide ( roughly 2.4 meters). I get lots of use out of both of these implements and these are IMatch ready.

the implements i made match the 4' slasher i bought pin distances and widths apart. if i made my own dimensions i would have to modify the slasher also, i thought it was easier to make mine the same and i will make the hitch to suit one which will fit all of them. i intend to do some mods to the 3 PH arms and the like to make them more rigid(side to side) and they need attention anyway as they are quite worn.
