Nice for general lawn work but I wouldn't load any rocks, gravel, or firewood in it. That tongue just isn't going to support a lot of weight imho.

I say that was fine craftmanship of the bending of the metal. I hate to crush your dreams but that wooden tongue most likely will snap like a toothpick esp. with the tires all the way back. If you have the chance, try to get a square tubing 1/4 thick or thicker and replace the wooden tongue then you be able to enjoy many years from that fine looking trailer.

If your set on the tongue and if you have the tin, Clad the tongue for a little extra life. 18G would be great. I did this on a pair of 2x4 saw horses and it worked great. sawhorses might not take the same load as a trailer but it might help.

Very nice metalworking. I think that you will find that your axle should be slightly rear of the half-way mark on your trailer bed. That will make dumping much easier and will take part of the weight off of the tongue of the trailer. My yard cart actually has the axle going through the tongue and a clip at the front so that when the clip is released, the cart can dump and be pulled out from under the load. However, I don't have the pride of having made my cart.

Thank you for the Feedback.

I took the advice of moving the wheels just back from the Halfway point. The hitch is made from 12 Gauge, that will hold well, as for the Tounge, I guess I should Beef it up a little.

Thanks, will work on it this weekend.

*I am wondering why you put the wheels clear to the back?

Thought everyone knew it will handle the corners better at full speed with the wheels set further back!! ;)
