I know we have beat this subject to death, but I wanted ya'll to know that I have had success with my Quick-Hitch. After struggling the last few months to hook up my MX6, for which my tractor has to be in EXACTLY the right position +/- 0.0010 inches /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif, I decided to try the quick hitch route. I ended up with the SpeeCo hitch. It works great on the MX6 and I use the flex coupler on the top link. I tried the hook, but even though it's iMatch compatible, the hook height adjustment plates hit the A-frame before the hook is in position. I guess this isn't a problem for the iMatch coupler since the hook is welded to the hitch and sits slightly further back. At any rate, the flex coupler took care of the mismatch. I also made it work with my box blade as well. The top link pin sat about 1/2 inch too far back to completely engage the hook but making the top link hole slightly elliptical toward the front with my "Victor Fire Drill" solved that problem nicely. I replaced the bolts that hold the hook with quick disconnect pins for easy install/removal of the hook. Now if I could design a self-coupling PTO shaft I'd have it made. The grooming mower doesn't fit (yet!!) but I have come up with an easy modification that I'll try soon. All in all, it seems like a good decision so far.

Let me know when you have this down pat!

Could you show a picture of that? I have the Speeco, also, and would like to see how you used yours.

I ended up making a new top hook out of 1" thick plate and moved the pin hole 1" rearward to let my stuff up.

Gary, next time I get the cutter hooked up I'll try to remember to take a picture for ya.

Hoeman, I thought about doing the same thing with a piece of 1-1/2 inch plate I have been using as flat anvil, but I'd have to take the plate to a machine shop to get the pin holes drilled out. I don't have anything that stout and the "fire drill" wouldn't do a good clean job. I'm definitely going to put that on my winter time project list though.
