I liked your magnets so I got the IT guy at work to give me his next dead hard drive. Talk about a strong magnetic pull. I let two attach together and had to use a vice and a screwdriver to get them apart.

Are all hard drive magnets this strong? Or were mine just mutant.

I like the magnet idea too. I didn't know that computer hard drives had magnets. What other scrap equipment would be a place to find magnets?

old speakers are a good source for magnets.

Hard drive magnets are strong for their size. Much stronger that speaker magnets. Be careful with them though, they're strong but fragile.
