Mahindra 1526 starting issues.

Issue started about six weeks ago. Hard first start of the day. White smoke. Gotten progressively worse. Today would not start even with a jump from my truck. Battery was tested a month ago and appeared fine at the time.
Thoughts?

What have u tried.??
I think they have an electric supply pump.. when you turn the key to on, u should hear it clicking..
Have u changed the fuel filter.??!!!
Try loosening the inlet connector on the injection pump and turn the key on.. there should be a flow of fuel THERE..

Clean battery terminals and ground connection. Is engine turning over? Do you have power to glow plugs? Are they good? How much white smoke?

I had this problem in cool weather that was caused by loose connections at the three glow plugs.

Glow plug based engines typically need them replaced

If it has a grid heater, check its powering up. Typically the outside of it will be hot after it cycles and you can check without taking anytning apart

My buddies modern mahindra has electrical gremlins caused by a chafed harness behind the dash.

Unplug white connector an front of first glow plugs. Use sandpaper to clean it off. Put some dielectric grease on it.

I did have mice chew on wires behind instrument cluster on top of fuel tank.

Just had the same issue. The start up was blowing a little white smoke and progressively got worse to where it wouldn't start and just blow white smoke. Took the test light to the first plug and would the light to come on sometimes, put the test light to the wire that connects to the first glow plug and had power. Turns out the fuseable link that send power to the bar went bad, it connects to the first glow plug and you could see it was melting a little bit. Went to the auto parts store and bought a fuseable link and she fired right up! $8 at NAPA
