Just wanted to post an update. I called the dealership and the extra costs were added in error. They've updated the contract and sent it to me to re-sign.

How much further does the Kioti stick out? On my terrain both of these are probably a deal breaker. Not much flat. Two seats on a tractor for a BH is ridiculous. Some smaller SCUTs have a swing seat but if I recall when you convert it it takes the suspension out of the seat. Maybe they changed that now? It has been a few years.
Honestly I haven’t measured and can’t state for fact the difference. I can hovever clearly state that I have not had an issue.

If I get an opportunity to make a comparrison between a friends and mine I will report back to you what I find.

My Kioti Backhoe KB2475L mounts in just 12-15 minutes, depending on my focus during my backing alignment. The more times you mount the backhoe, the faster and more efficient you become.

Once the subframe brackets are securely installed to your tractor frame, I measured a 2.4" reduction of the ground clearance only near each wheel. With the backhoe mounted, that 2.4" becomes an overall reduction in ground clearance for the entire tractor. But it's not been an issue, and I have driven it in some difficult fields and tough terrain work projects.

Wow! 12 to 15 minutes? Honestly the only way it would take that long for me is if I went back into the house and made a second cup of coffee.
I am not being sarcastic or trying to be funny but for me it’s most likely less than 3 minutes off or on.

I am a little disappointed in myself as I was at a friends place for a few minuets last night and looked at his JD and honestly didn’t think the hoe on his stuck out less than an inch or two compared to mine but did notice it appeared his was actually closer to the ground than mine. Unfortunately we had a beer or two and I forgot to grab a tape and measure.
Thinking about it today I would say he actually had less clearence the me.

I really appreciate your feedback. This is the type of information I can't really get from looking at a spec sheet. Also, I didn't realize the advertised lifting points were different between the different brands. That brings the Kubota more in line with the others. Yeah, that subframe on the Kioti backhoe will take up a lot of garage floor space that I could be using for something else!
The Kioti BH also sits further off the back vs the 4PT Kubota is tighter to the frame/tractor - less of a cantilever, and increased angle of approach.

Then do install/removal of each one or look at online videos, the subframe install is not as easy, and finally does your ground clearance include the subframe on both?

I would say that is a matter of opinion, I find both types to be easy overall but actually think the Kioti is slightly quicker meaning easier compared!

As far as room it takes up, why would anyone leave it up in the air?
I lower it to the ground turn the hoe to one side and park right over it.

Yes - that makes sense - you can park over it and with the hoe turned sideways isn't too big.

I put mine on a dolly and roll it away to the side of the barn - takes up 3'x6' - then on reinstall roll back into position and hook up the lines and its back on quickly. It weighs ~ 700Lbs but easy to roll on the dolly. Takes 10 min or so and the 3PT arms are another 5 min to R&R.

I put it on in the spring and take it off in the winter for the SB or back blade.

I do have to comment on the cost of rentals

Telephone call to rental place- almost 30 min then talking to an outright dumb a who couldn稚 even give accurate information on the machines ability. 30 min of your time at what rate =. $覧覧
Trip to rental yard to see actual machine because you can稚 trust the dummies description, about an hour + fuel, wear and tear and not getting something else done during that time = $覧覧
An other phone call confirming your trip to the rental place and your rental of the machine on scheduled day, an other 20 min wasted with the other dumb A working there but finding out they messed up and rented it to someone else because you only needed a day or two and this person was booking it for a week or more so they went with them instead. This twenty min call turns into an hour because you wanted to speak with a manager, only to find he is the father of dummy #1 and #2 and has no buisness ethics.= $覧?
Finally PO壇 over the treatment you end up wasting more time to drive an hour and a half away to the next rental place with a hoe and schedule a 2 day rental.= $覧?
Now you find they charge for delivery or you must have adequate means to transport it, so it痴 pay them, or more travel time, wear and tear, fuel and for those without a trailer don稚 forget the fuel you used and the time it took calling around to friends and family looking to borrow a trailer. Also don稚 forget now you owe that brother in law an other favor which will also cost you time and $覧
Now add the rental fee, the stress of trying to get done before the unforeseen rain that suddenly appeared on the radar. And in many cases the now extra day needed to finish because you didn稚 get done before the rain if your even able to hold it for a day as many times it痴 already scheduled to someone else the next day so you have to make yet an other trip to get it again.

Cost of a 500 dollar rental is really what=
If I have a twin that was separated from me at birth I think it might be you, you aren't 50 by any chance? LOL, I feel your pain from an obvious life of continuous letdowns from the service industry.

Maybe a long lost older relative or something.

Seriously my description isn’t all about me so much as the basic experiance of many people I have known or met over the years.
It’s not uncommon to have those experiences but many don’t even recognize them as a bad experiance as they are blinded by feeling a small victory when they get something accomplished.
In simple terms they are blind to all the factors they dealt with. Sort of like the old jokes about the wife driving an hour away to buy the dress on sale when it’s only 2 dollars more locally But it was worth it because she saved 2 dollars. Forget she wasted 25 in fuel, 7.50 for munchies, drinks, misc bull crap she would have otherwise not got Or needed.
