Mahindra 1640 Vs. LS MT240HE

You have NA and TC correct.
To me a Turbo diesel is preferred for the higher horsepower, better operation especially at higher elevations but usually better fuel economy as well.
Use a good quality oil, change it on schedule or more frequently, use proper warm up and cool down times and a turbo should last many, many years.
I'm averaging about 150h per year. I change oil every fall.
What's proper warm-up / cool-down? Idle for a minute? I'll definitely do that.

That's what I see in the specs also.
230 is NA (assuming naturally aspirated)
235 shows NA also (what gives the 5hp more?)
240 shows TC (assuming turbo)

Is a TC worth the cost / another thing to fail? I'd tend to go with the simpler 235 NA and have one less major component that will fail. Thoughts?
As for the 230/235 difference, not sure,
Seems the 230 has some conflicting specs listed, CRDI I thought meant Common Rail Direct Injection yet it states indirect-injection first,

230: Type: 3-cylinder, indirect-injection, Water-cooled, Diesel, NA, CRDI
235: Type: 3-cylinder, CRDI, liquid-cooled, Diesel

I suspect the main HP difference is just programming/fueling

In very cold or very hot weather I warm up longer and cool down longer, maybe as long as 3-4 minutes to be safe.
