Mahindra 2555L Loader - How many positions is the loader controller? Relocation ?

Three questions :

How many positions is the loader joystick control ? Can you curl the bucket while raising or lowering ?

I hate that the joystick is up by the steering wheel and not by the armrest... Is it possible to re-locate or maybe use something similar to what the 3540 has ?

Also, If I wanted to replace the little harry potter wand with a more substantial knob are the threads standard with others ?

I really like the Mahindra , but these little quirks are making me think about other brands.

I know it has four+float, have you tried either? The reason I ask is because I don't have mine installed.
To answer your 2nd question.....yes it's possible but pricey! I, like you, don't care for the "factory" set up. Now that I have some down time, I'll be installing the joystick where it should be this week!
3rd question: The threads should be 10x1.25 or 10x1.5

I counted 4 questions

It should be a 4 position valve, with a float detent for the lift/lower. And possibly and additional Regen on dump.

Yes, you should be able to do two functions at once.

They do make cable operated valves to relocate the joystick, but don't know much about that. And no idea on knob threads

Thought about relocating the joystick to the right fender as well. It can be done. Here is a start.

You are looking at 2 new valves, 2 cables and the joystick. Then fab the mounts etc.

If you want to go all out you could also get electric over hydraulic valves and use a Scorpion joystick.

The electric over hydraulic setup may be overkill as I have not seen any CUTs that have this type of setup. Most, that have a decent joystick location, use cables.

I'm not familiar with the model you have. If it has a cab option Mahindra probably offers the parts needed. As the Mahindra cab tractors I've seen all have the joystick relocated to the fender.

Scorpion also makes replacement "knobs" or grips. I think they slide on and are affixed with set screws.

I have operated several loader machines. A JD2040 with two stick, an IH 444 with joystick, Kubota L3400 with joystick, MX5100 with joystick, Ford 4500 with 2-stick, Ford 5500 with joystick, 8n ford with 1-arm loader and two-stick, A few skid loaders, etc. ALL of them have allowed both functions at once.

I am guessing there may just be something seized or bound up in the linkage from sitting on a dealer lot.

I suspect you didn't have the engine wound up enough. You need some pump volume to do two things at once.

I wasn't operating at PTO speed, but I would guess somewhere in the 1700rpm range

I asked the sales guy and he said that's how it is. and when I tried doing two things it would always take bucket curl the only thing it would do.

and BTW my orange tractor can curl and lift at idle.

mine will do both but it does it better when its running faster.

I went to dealer and tested it. It functions any way you want it to. At low idle I was able to lift and curl at the same time... NOw just time to re-locate the loader valve controls when the new mahindra comes in.
