I'm looking at buying a Mahindra 2810. It's 8 yrs old and he is asking 7000.00. It's garage kept and looks great. Has 300 hrs on it. What I'm looking for is something with a front end loader and I would have to purchase one for it. The best price I can get on the FEL is 4000.00. I'm worried that this would put me spending to much on this tractor. Any advice?

Your concerns are noted. Adding a $4K loader to that tractor pushes your combined cost a bit high. It's almost always better, monetarily, to find one already installed. You might want to keep shopping.

__that's what I was thinking. I figured if I could get the tractor for 6k and the loader for 4k I would be right at 10k total. Does that sound more in range? I'm not sure what the 2810 w a loader would normally go for.

If you do buy the machine, get a WOODS laoder!

Has twice the lifting capacity of the factory loader.
2 year warranty virses 1 year.
You can go to the Woods web site and type in your zip code to find your nearest dealer.

"Has twice the lifting capacity of the factory loader."

That's a true, but, pretty trig and misleading, statement. The tractor's hydraulics "capacity" will determine the actual "ability" capabilities of the loader.

Sorry Wallace, This once I disagree with your statement.

Actually the ML108 loader was way under spec for that tractor and only lifted about 800 lbs due to small cylinders, even at typical tractor hydraulic system pressures. The Woods loader is close to double that with the same pressure and flow. Not that flow determines strength, because it really only affects speed on an open center system. So I think Wallace may be right on this.

And to terrilynn, most aftermarket loaders are going to be $3500 plus, so I'd look for a tractor that is already wearing a loader. If you get $11K plus in this used machine, you would be better off with a new 3016 for just a few thousand more.
