As others have already mentioned, I would HIGHLY, HIGHLY advise getting a dedicated ZERO TURN MOWER. Forget the mid mount mower. You place looks very upscale and if you have weddings and events, you'll want to maintain the high quality of lawn cut with a zero turn. Not only are they leaps and bounds faster and more efficient than a tractor-style mower, they also will give a cut quality that no tractor with a mid mower will be able to remotely touch. Buy yourself a good used commercial grade zero turn that hasn't been abused and you'll thank all of us next year and wonder why you ever thought you wanted a tractor for your mowing needs. My recommendations for a zero-turn mower would be Grasshopper or Hustler.
As for tractors, you need to do some research to look into the chemical spraying requirements like someone has already mentioned. If it turns out that you must have a tractor with a cab, you're likely not going to find a brand new one in your budget. Cabs add a lot of cost to a machine. But you should also be looking at other brands. Mahindras as certainly capable machines, but my personal opinion is that they cost more than they should. They lack attention to detail in terms of fit and finish and considering that they were one of the highest prices machines in my search, I couldn't justify spending more money on a machine I didn't think was worth the cost. Personally, I would recommend looking into LS and Kioti tractors as competition. Take your budget of $16-$18k and see what kind of machine that will buy in either the LS or Kioti brand and then compare that machine with what the same $16-$18k will buy you from Mahindra. Weight the pros and cons of each and go from there. LS and Kioti are both South Korean companies are coming on strong in terms of "bang for your buck".
