I'm getting ready to purchase the 3325. All we'll really be doing with it is mowing 10-12 acres. Will this machine handle a 6 foot Rough Cut Mower, or is a 5 foot unit a better choice? Also, is there any benefit to the 3525 (and power steering) if I'm only cuttng grass?

It will run a 6' just fine. If the going gets real tough, just move over a few inches and cut 5' on your second pass.
If you get the 3525 you can add a loader later, and power-steering is almost always worth it.

I have the 3525 with FEL and love it. I mow around 14 acres with a 6 foot cutter. I've often wondered if it would pull a 7 foot cutter. The power steering is very handy. With the 6 foot cutter I usually cut in Low 4 and it makes for a good cut. It probably takes me 7 to 7.5 hours to bushhog it.

We actually mowed our orchard with a 3525 with a 8 foot flail mower and it did great. They sure seem to make more power than 35HP.

If a 3325 at 27 pto hp could run a 6 ft. cutter do you think a 4110 with 33 pto hp would run a 7 ft. mower in low brush?

I have a customer that does commercial cutting on a state contract and operates a 8' rotary cutter behind his 3525. I had told him an 8 footer was to much for the tractor so he bought the cutter from his local MF dealer. He tells me it works very well, and when the going gets tough the governer kicks in and the engine builds even more power. He operates the 8' cutter behind his 3525 and his 4110 and he is happy with both. I would go with the 6' cutter if I were you. Good Luck!
