My 3510 has been an excellent machine for many years with very few problems but this week while bush hogging in very hot weather (South east Texas) the temp gauge was reading high and then went to nothing. The fuel gauge has not worked properly for some time. I'm thinking it is probably a ground issue with the temp gauge but open to suggestions. For the fuel gauge, where is the sender unit located? It looks as though I will have to remove the ROPS to access the top of the tank. As usual the manuals are pretty well useless which is about the only complaint I have about the tractor apart from the use of too much plastic on the fenders etc. Any comments gratefully received. I had to replace my fuel sending unit years ago in my 4110, I'm reasonably sure your 3510 would be the same. No, tank removal is MUCH more complicated than just removing the ROPS and that top piece of the framing. I went by the service manual and it has you remove the seat and the FLOOR instead. Been too many years to remember it all and I don't have my service manual in the house here but I was really surprised at how difficult it was just to change the sending unit in such a simple set-up. And.... you won't know if the float is adjusted properly to match your gauge until you get it back in with fuel in it - mine wasn't and still is out of range. When mine hits empty on the gauge it still has about 1/3 of a tank. I've lived with it instead of taking the tank back out to attempt adjustment. Good luck.

Thanks for the reply Skip, I was hoping for a reply which said it was as easy as pie to fix but reality has set in. I’ll take a look and see though because it really bugs me when things don’t work as they should!
