Mahindra 3525 Broken PTO lever went limp.

Hello, I have a Mahindra 3525 that I tried to engage the PTO lever and it went clunk and now the lever is loose. It was hard to engage and I read that you can remove the lever by removing the three bolts that hold the lever in housing. I did that yesterday and found the sheered roll pin that was broken. However I don't know it connects to the other type of shaft that engages the PTO and keeps it from going limp, I am just not sure what I need to do. I have added a photo of the the lever with the roll pin any help will be appreciated and thank you in advance.

Go to New England Tractor web site. They have a link to Mahindra parts catalog that is for dealers. Mahindra should make this available to everyone. Anyway, your tractor is listed and there is a schematic of the PTO parts. It looks like there is a shifter that goes on the end of the shaft where the pin is. It must have broken off. Hopefully you can get to the insides of your transmission from the top. A similar thing happened to me on a John Deere 850. I was able to access it by taking off a plate on top of the transmission.

Should be an easy fix if you can get to it and the shifter is available.

From what I hear those blue pills are good for that limp lever syndrome.

P# 000751115R92 your missing the part that the rollpin holds on.. it will have a sleeve that fits over the shaft then the roll pin holds it on... the sleeve has a finger coming off of it that slides the pto collar back and forth.... youll need to fish it out of the trans

Do you know how I would go about getting to it? Can I access it from the hole that the pto shaft and roll pin is in? I looked in there but did not see it

Sorry I just saw this you have to take the tire, fender and floor panel off usually to get to it

I just pulled my lever off a 575 and found broken sleeve. Now I can't get lever lined back up inside. Is there a trick are picture to help reinstall?

Flash light and a long punch... have someone turn the PTO by hand very slow at the back of the tractor while you slide the collar.... oh and have you fished out all the broken pieces?
