Yes after that you should be able to crank with the key no problem. If you ever get on the tractor and you turn the key on... get full lights and everything seems normal then when you turn to crank it does nothing at all.. no noise no bump no nothing.. its a switch... either something is engaged or the switch is stuck. or of course the fuse is bad.. take a lot to pop the fuse though.. if it was low battery or power cord failure or a bad ground, starter, solenoid, etc you would get some type of bump or ticktickticktick.. or obvious loss of power when the key is turned. Good luck you should be up and running in no time

Yes I did, and it still wouldn't turn over bumping it.

Did it make any noise at all?

actually do you have a multimetor?

It didn't pop the fuse again did it? wonder if the starter relay went with it... its a small white box near the fuse panel

Same, only spinning not turning over noise. Same if key is on or off.

I didn't check the fuse after I changed it and tried it.

Ok you got noise that's good... kinda.. this means your relay is good but your not getting enough power to kick your solenoid out... this can come from the battery not being hot enough or the ground is bad were it leaves the battery and hits the frame... its just bolted to the side of it and can get dirty.. take it off clean it up bolt back on... next is less likely but the connections at the battery and the starter can be bad too.. wouldn't hurt to clean them up also.. lastly your power cord can go bad... a multi meter will tell you how much juice is getting to the starter if you have one. could be a bad solenoid from the bumping but doubt it... all and all with the key not making it spin itself one of the switches are not working on the pto or high/low.. hope you figure it out ill check up tomorrow if I get time

Ok, so after some time tinkering and cleaning...the key worked..kinda. It still just spins and won't turn over.

The battery was new this fall, could it be losing power and not have enough to turn it over?

And no I don't have a meter.

Or????

You tried to jump it off or charge the battery? Im sure you have plenty of moisture in the air same as here in Tx. it can mess up connections and let a battery draw much quicker than 6 months. Id charge it up or put some cables to it
