Buying Advice Mahindra 5530

It is doable, but a 55530 is kinda on the small side and will take a while. I dug mine with my 6520 4WD with a ML275 and 511 BH. It is only .04 of an acre and it took forever. Whatever you buy, be sure to buy on the bigger side of what you are thinking. I dug the pond down to 4 feet with just the loader bucket. Digging the dirt is the easy part. It is hauling it out of the way that takes all the time..........and I have a 7 foot wide bucket.

I rented a nice size backhoe and dug a small pond. While I was doing that, some drove by and offered to dig a 1 acre pond for about $2,000. He said he would do it with his backhoe.

I have a 21 acre bamboo farm.

You will not find hardly any problem questions about the 5530. I have an 08' 5530 4wd Turbo and this tractor came with the 266ML FEL. We just bought Skid Steer Forks for it and this has alot of uses. We also pull a 10' brush mower. Have a 78" twin hydraulic adjustment blade made by Bison. This tractor handles nicely. Be sure to get at least twin spools for hydraulics. Won't regret it.

Update on the Mahindra 5530... I had a small hydraulic leak for some time when I purchased the tractor. The dealer tried to help me fix it, but we both had a time figuring out the problem. Well, I finally noticed that the shredder was moving back and forth and pushing on the hydraulic lines from the hydraulics the dealer installed on the back of the tractor. I moved the handles on the lift part a little and they no longer hit each other when driving down the road. Problem fixed. No leaks since then.

The Mahindra 5530 has been a great tractor. Between the tractor and the Woods shredder, the farm looks like a golf course. I didn't want to purchase too many attachments until I had time to see how reliable the tractor was. I wouldn't trade it now. Time to buy attachments!!!
