Mahindra 5570 won't turn over

Recently purchased a 5570, spent about 10 minutes on it after I got it home from dealership and now tractor won't start. All lights come on as before when I turn key on but will not turn over (crank). All gears are in neutral, PTO disengaged and still nothing. Any suggestion???

One of your safety switches is likely tripped or possibly malfunctioning, but I'd lean towards it being tripped on a new tractor with new owner. Seat, HST treadle/pedals, brakes, clutch, pto, gear selector, are some of the places to look without knowing the specifics of your tractor. Owners manual may have more info.

Quick basic suggestions:

Turn on your headlights and try to start the engine. Do headlights dim when the key is turned to the starting position?

Yes = investigate the starter and solenoid.
No = check any and all safety devices (Brake, seat, etc.)

I also noticed my tractor has a "MIL" light on the dash that is lit up. This light was on the 1st time I cranked it as well. Anyone know what this may be?

MIL = Malfunction Indicator Light. Just guessing, but there could be a problem that put the engine into a protected mode, making it unable to start. I would call my dealer asap and see what they say.

I wouldn't worry about an MIL unless it was on while the engine was running. Most tractors I have owned will light up all the dash lights when they are first started, or when the key is on without the engine running.

Was the MIL light on while the engine was running? If so, was it steady or flashing?

Is the range selector by your foot in neutral? That's the one most people miss.
