Mahindra 6000 oil filter choices?

Almost time for my 50 hour service, any oil filter choices besides the dealer?

I have not heard of any, but I would play it safe and use the Mahindra filter while it is under warranty. Chet

Yep, there is one. I think if you search the archive here you will find it. It is sold by NAPA. The Mahindra engine, having been designed in Austria followed the European design/parts of the oil system as well. I believe it was a Peugeot (sp) diesel filter. I bought one in case I couldn't get one readily from the dealer. Paid about $11 as well as I remember. I then ordered 2 thru the dealer: Guess what? $6.50 each. I still have the NAPA filter. Your dealer can order it and have Mahindra send it directly to your house, parcel post. My dealer said pay me next time you're by here. At that price, buy a couple....Good Luck, BobG in VA

Said they usually carried a generic which he would have given me, but they were out of stock.

I'll do a search and see if I can find that NAPA part number.

That price is a bit steep for a "00" series oil filter, i would be happy to drop ship you some or one. Figure 13.04 ea or can do better on more than one, plus freight. I'm not shure there is an aftermarket filter that is a direct cross i have tried and not found one, anyway i would stick to oem if posible.
