Is there an after market plug for Mahindra 6500 Heater Air Intake ?

Mahindra # Heater Air Intake - 005558187R1

Looks like a standard glow plug would work.

Not sure if it it defective or wiring problem, does not time out / turn off.

Me again...
After checking the relay, switch, and plug, I found the glow plug for the air intake to be bad.
After removal, I bench tested it and confirmed it to be bad.
Given the price form dealers of around $275 each, I bought one, nib, from eBay for $175. It was doa and the seller refunded my money minus my shipping cost to return.

Since I had just replaced glow plugs in my NH skid loader at $15 each, I'm asking again if any one knows a cross-list number for a glow plug that is less expensive?

I know glow plugs are the sort of thing that occasionally need to be replaced so I wouldn't think I'm the only to cheap to pay $275 for a glow plug. Others?
Thanks

Oops posted this under. The wrong thread. I meant to post it under my original 7010 thread asking for a cross reference number

Anybody ever find one? My glow plug is stamped beru 0102124416 but the parts diagram for the tractor shows part number 005558187R.

My local auto parts could find anything to cross over.

On some tractors what you have in the intake air system is not a glow plug but a "Thermostart."
It operates by first getting hot then dripping diesel fuel on the hot element to create an oil fire albeit a small one.
This link will show you how a Thermostart on a Yanmar engine works. Other tractors are very similar.

Just be certain you know what you have.
The energy required to preheat the large volume of intake air is typically more than a glow plug can provide.

What I have is in intake heater. It has an element that heats up in the intake so warm air flows into the motor.

This is what it looks like.
Beru AG 0102124416 Glow Plug, parking heater:Amazon.co.uk:Car & Motorbike

On the back of the heater it says BERU 0102124416. When I looked it up on the beru site they also use part number GH010.

I took it to the local auto parts store and called bosch to see if they could cross reference it but nobody could. I called amazon UK but they said they can't ship it to the usa. It would be $50 shipped total if they could a heck of a lot better than the $300 the dealer wants for it.

I found the following comment on true glow plugs being able to be fitted to a 7060 Mahindra.
Is it possible to do the same on your tractor?
It would be a much better starting aid in cold temps.

Glow Plug
The tractor is equipped with Intake Manifold
Heater for easy startability in cold conditions.
However to enhance the startability in extreme
cold ambient conditions, the tractor is equipped
with provision for fitment of glow plugs
(an optional fitment). These glow plugs can be
fitted in the cylinder head after removing the
plugs.
A glow plug kit consisting of requisite spares is
available with Mahindra dealer. Contact your
nearest Mahindra dealer for further details on
installation and maintenance of glow plugs

I found a cross reference chart which provides a conversion from your Beru part number to a Bosch number.
The part is called "Glow plug, parking heater," by both Beru and Bosch which may explain why you are having trouble finding a cross reference since it is not just a glow plug.

The web site I found this is for supplying major manufacturers who buy thousands of them not a guy who wants one.

I called bosch and they said they didn't carry that part. I found it online as a cross reference. Nobody I've talked to seems like they care to help me. Most just say no nothing cross references and hang up.

I may have found the replacement though! Turns out all oe ford glow plugs, heaters, etc are beru products. It looks pretty dang close looking at the intake heater for a 7.3 f250.

I just happen to have a 7.3 f250 at home so I may see if mine has an intake heater if they are the same. I don't know if because it's in Texas they even put one on since it rarely gets that cold down here. And the truck comes with glow plugs to.

I appreciate the help.
