Mahindra - adding grapple - help

Adding a valve or two can be done DIY, but like explained above, you need to get all the components besides just the valve. I've done several DIY installations with substantial savings for the components. But I can tell you that price flusher paid for that super sano installation on his Mahindra by Dave (a great guy) is an excellent deal.
It is complete, neat, and hard to beat!
He should do that to his entire fleet making his place the best on the street.
Nothing to scrounge after so it's easy on the feet and more time for your seat.:D

Hmm, waxing poetic. Must be something in the air in Sequoia country causing that.

Here is a three-spool I just had the guys put on my Mahindra 2415HST. Not much room for the fancy cover or bulkhead, but it sure works well.

On Flusher's tractor, we built the bulkhead bracket for holding the quick-connects, but we buy the valve cover. It does make a real professional looking job, yet it is simple as the valve is just basically bolted to the fender.

On the 2415H, we make a bracket that bolts to existing unused holes in the ROPS lower mount. Simple and strong, and no mods to the tractor.

As to the original question, it's nice to run the grapple off a rocker switch that is mounted on the joystick. That way you can lift, tilt and run the grapple with one hand. Many dealers use the 3rd spool by WR Long. It's a slick set-up.

That is a nice install and would work well for top and tilt. I don't think it looks so great for controling a grapple though. Hard to twist your arm around and backwards to get at the controllers and the fact that there are three of them means you might need to actually look rather than go by feel.

On my current tractor the remote levers are just below and adjacent to the FEL joystick. That is a great place for a lever to control the grapple as you don't really need to take your eye off the target as you hand finds the lever very naturally.
