mahindra 2615
I have a 2615 HST with a backhoe. When I ues any lever to the hoe it hesitates for about 5 to 10 seconds then moves the cylinder very slowly for another few seconds then operates at the correct speed.power seems ok. I changed hydro filter but no change.I noticed foamy looking oil when I pulled the filter. Fluid level is correct. I ran all the cylinders through a full cycle multiple times to purge air. Thamks for any help

might be junk in the spool, is it new?

All your quick disconnects fully seated? A partial will restrict hyd flow substantially.

No its not new.It worked fine one day,the next it started acting up.If it was junk in the spool would it affect all cylinders and the speed change through the stroke?

Yes, I checked all 3 quick connectors. Any other thoughts?

You said foamy, is the oil milky colored?

juck, welcome to TBN. I have the same tractor and backhoe as you. Upon checking the owner's manual, here is what it says about slow operation of machine, and possible problems, (lack of power) all cylinders:

Low oil supply in reservoir - fill to proper level

Oil viscosity too heavy, or oil is not at operating temperature - use recommended hydraulic fluid - Run machine until oil reaches operating temperature.

Insufficient pumping - advance engine throttle.
Excessive back pressure - Relieve condition. Restriction may be from outlet to reservoir.

Relief valve setting in backhoe control valve too low or defective - Relief pressure will have to be checked and corrections made. Relief valve may need cleaning and overhauling, or entire cartridge must be replaced.

Your comment about the foamy looking oil concerns me. I've not seen this in my hydraulic system. If I were you, I'd call Rogue Valley Farm Equipment, the S. Oregon Mahindra dealer. Ask for Rick, my go to guy for technical help. 541 826-8500
