Does Mahindra manufacture their own engines for their bigger tractors?

If so, do they have a good long term track record?

Thanks,

Hey Dave,

Yes,for the "00" series, and the older IH licensee ones. The "00" series engines were developed in conjunction with AVL of Austria. AVL is one of the world leaders in diesel powertrain design. www.avl.com

Can someone please explain exactly how a Mahindra diesel engine works? I don't care about other brands, just Mahindra. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

They are a four stroke, direct injection, water-cooled diesel.
