Mahindra Hydraulic Output

Anything over 9 gpm will give you respectable loader flow on a utility sized tractor.
The 7520 has 17gpm and the loader is still a bit slow because it has larger hydraulic cylinders.

I have a 2007 Mahindra 6500 4WD with FEL. It has 4 hydraulic connectors in the rear. I am trying to make my log splitter work on it, it is a homemade vertical hydraulic splitter with a regular hydraulic log splitter valve. It has been working fine on my 1973 IH 464. However, when I plug it into the Mahindra, I can't get it to work. One problem is the Mahindra valve won't stay open to allow flow to the splitter, and when I hold it in place the relief valves trips. I see a plug in a port on the back of the Mahindra hydraulic valve assembly, I wonder if that would help me get flow to the splitter without tripping the relief valve. Can anyone offer any insight on this? Thanks, Doug
There shouldnt be anything unique to the Mahindra remote setup thatwould give relief trouble. Are you sure you are making both connections to the same pair of remotes? They are usually paired in vertically situated sets - one above the other are a pair.

Sounds like one of the QD's is not seated. Are the hoses parried up correctly? Are you using two pressure ports for the log splitter/

One pressure output should go to the input of the log splitter valve, and the return from the log splitters should plug into the tractor return port .

Your ports on the back should have some kind of marking. If not, think of them as A1, A2, B1, B2 When you plug in your log splitter, you would use say A!, A2
otherwise one pressure port and one return port.

As far as the relief going off, it is indicating that the fluid is being blocked somewhere. For your log splitter to work, the lever has to be locked opened.

I am sure that one of the check valves on your quick couplers is setup. Check your other post on this subject.

I have a Mahindra 6000 4wd with Mahindra loader made for Mahindra by Great Ben. 11 gpm runs the loader just fine. I am in the process of purchasing a 511 backhoe made by Bradco, just like lamarbur. I anticipate it will run the backhoe just fine. PTO kits are in production and can be added for more $. Although, my hope is that it is not needed. Big advantage to pto is seperate system and reduced chance of contamination.

I also have a 6000 4wd with the Mahindra loader by KMW...I have the 511 Bradco BH...I ordered it with the 14g/m PTO pump...if you don't you'll wish you did, simply because the tractor's hyd resevoir is separate from the trans 80-90w gear oil...the hyd res. is only about 3 gallons or so...the res. on the PTO pump setup is just short of 15 gallons...and even then if you use it a lot you will note that the hyd oil heats up rather quickly...imagine how hot the tractor res. will be with continued use...as the Food Lion would say..."just my two cents".. To get best use out of my 511 Backhoe on my 6520, which has a 11gpm pump, I run it at full rpm. I wished I would have bought a 7520 with it's 17 gpm pump, so I could run lower rpm. After a while, my fluid really heats up, like BobG stated above.

Brandi...I should have noted this on my first post that I seldom have to run the 6000 at over 11 or 1200 rpm to get really good response out of the 511 BH with the PTO pump.. BobG in VA
