mahindra model 2015 tractor HST

Have decided to buy a Mahindra 2015 tractor-4 wheel drive-3 cyl. disel with front bucket....Is this a good tractor for general home use? Decided not to get the back hoe as I can rent one to do what I need done..Main use for this will be snow removal and gardening..And maybe some stone racking in the drive which is 600 feet long..And also for bringing in wood for the winter..I did not get a mower as I have 2 lawn tractors now...

Can I get a small one bottom plow for this or will a tiller be better????

I have 16 acres all mostly flat ground....I get alot of snow at the end of the drive after the plow truck goes by...So I figure the bucket will come in handy..I was told it had a 900 lb. lift....

In my opinion, since you have 16 acres and a 600' drive I'd move up a notch to maybe a 2615. I have a 2615HST w/ loader and I'm not sorry I bought it. In the heavy snows we get a 2015 may be a little small. I have 5 acres at my main home and close to 26 at another up north. I just put an entire new roof on my main house from the plywood up. I doubled up the rafters, added more insulation, installed the new plywood and a metal roof. The tractor lifted everything up for me so I didn't have to carry it up a ladder. I was really glad at that point. For the small difference in price I think its worth it.
I convinced 2 other local friends who got the same 2615 and since both have said they wouldn't have been satisfied if they got a smaller tractor.
Like I said, this is just my opinion which along with $1.50 will get you a nice cup of coffee.

Hi. I'm new to the site, been reading it for a few weeks before I joined.I did some research on lots of different tractors before deciding to buy a 2615 Mahindra with a FEL. It has the best lift capacity of over 1000 lbs.The FEL doestn't extend out as far as the other tracors I looked at. This will help with stability during lifting. I am having the hydraulic remotes added to the rear for an extra $550 ..well worth it as I am able to fabricate other attachments myself. Can't wait till Thursday to pick it up. Lots of projects around here to do.

Took dlivery of the tractor today..I love it..Hooked the one bottom plow on her and went to work out in the field..Had to make a few adjustments on the 3 point hitch is all..I was down around 10 inch's and it seemd to be doing fine..I believe this is going to be all the tractor I will need for what I want it for..Just wanted to let you know..Cost of tractor was 12700.00 **** the plow was 458.00

You're gonna love that 2015. I have the same tractor in gear drive. You may want to think about a 3pt snowblower. I have a 60 inch blower on mine, and it's pretty unstoppable. The lift capacity is 915 pounds at the lift pins, but you'll never put enough snow in there to stop it. Wet dirt maybe, but that's a push too.

You will love this tractor. I live in the snow belt and have no issues with it. I plan on purchasing a snowblower for mine but the bucket does a good job. I will say that you should fill the tires if you haven't already. It's still on my list of things to do. I have lifted the rear end right up moving a log. It will also run a 5' rototiller, however you may want to stick with a 4' so you can move a little faster. No problem mowing with a 5' brush hog. With that all said, I stopped by and looked at the 2615 the other day. We always want a little more HP!!

I am surprised at the power this thing has..I bought a 0ne bottom plow for it and it works great..Now I am looking for a drag or harrow for it..I found an old drag for free..The price is right. It needs to be fixed up a bit-no big deal..The disc harrows are pricey...So far I am happy with it....

Well,most of the plowing is done for next year..Looked at a set of harrows and the price scared me..Whow.....Drove around some and found an old set of harrows in a guys field..The price was right-FREE-
So my grandson and I took them apart and brought them home..Made up a nice set about 6 foot wide and they worked pretty good for what I wanted....Pays to shop around some..Now to look for and old corn planter..
