I am looking at the Mahindra 4110 and the 5500. Can someone tell me what the price diference between the 2WD and 4WD should be on the 5500? I was told about $5000 by the dealer. But after looking over the post here and talking to some people that have them, seems the price should be about $2000 different. Am I being jerked around by this dealer? On the 5500MFWD with loader, 6 ft. bushhog and 16 ft. trailer I was quoted $25,359.00. Same equipment adding 511 backhoe the quote was $34,721.50. Then got a quote on the 4410MFWD with loader, 6 ft. bushhog and 16 ft. trailer for $22,871.25. Are these prices within an acceptable range? Please help me!!!!!! /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif I need a tractor really bad, ASAP but don't want to pay too much.

Lisa, see my post on the trip to the dealer I just posted, I was also wondering about pricing of the 5500 and the 6000 I was quoted just under 12,000 on the 5500 2wd and then add $4900 for the fel I also have found it quite frustraiting about finding prices on tractors in general make sure you visit the Mahindra website, here are quite a few cash rebates and cash insentives that can be taken. But I sure wish these companies would ost a list price to work from (JD does) at least you can work with that and lokat a discount from list.. Hope that helps,

Lisa, couple of things: 1) 4110 and 5500 are different as night and day. 2) You might be able to move the 4110 around on a 16ft trailer, but don't even give it a thought with 5500. With 4WD and FEL you can expect the 5500 to weigh a whole bunch. My 6000 (with loaded rears) weighs in the neiborhood of 10,500 to 11,000lbs. Hope you got a BIG truck and a dual wheel/tandem axel trailer to be safe. Also it depens what you need to do with the tractors as I also have the 511 Bradco. Together with either the 4110/5500 you will have to to have the tractor/BH moved by a lowboy or seriously large roll-back. Just my opinion. BobG in VA

Both of those tractors listed with no loader and 2WD are only a thousand LBS difference. I personally would want a gooseneck for anything but I dont see how you could get a 5500 much over 6 or 7thousand LBS?

4110 is 4WD. I was looking from apples to apples using the 5500 4WD. By my calculations (poor as they may be), there is a 2200 lbs difference. I believe in Europe that's a "Metric Tonne". Weight means more than HP in Utily tractors as just about all will lose traction before they run out of HP. That's why I added 1400 lbs of fluid to my 6000. BobG in VA

Not that I can be much help. however, I had a 4110 with loader (112) and a Bradco 511 hoe with subframe. The total paclage was very near 7000 lbs. I also had a Bri-Mar 12,000 GVW trailer at 18 feet.. The machine just made it on, barely.... The machine treated me well, the hoe was awesome,, the loader could have been much better,. however, you really can't get mad at KMW the loader maker as they will build to what Mahindra specs them at. I personally feel the 4110 can mount and use safely, a much bigger loader with much higher lift qualities,..
