Bob hit it on the nose.
For dirt work, weight (more is better), ground clearnce and hydralics are important. For rough mowing, larger tires (on rough ground) and hp are important. For finish mowing, weight (less is better), manuverability and hp are important.
Some other things. I think HST is always a benifet. For a FEL in a compaq tractor, 4x4 is a must. For your use get bar tires.
As far as what you should get. IMO you need a small compaq like the 2015, CK20, JD4110, Kub 7510 or the others mentioned in that class. Find a dealer you like and buy what he sell. Spending less on a Mahindra or Kioti is penny wise pound foolish if the dealer sucs. Te same can be said the other way. Don't spend extra on a JD, Kubota, ect if the dealer is bad.
