Comparison Mahindra vs Kubota pricing

/ Mahindra vs Kubota pricing #11
It seems to me that most times whenever any product is trying to reach a certain sales level, the price is lower than the competition. But when they reach that level the price goes up to near or at the competitor's level.

Check the Japanese and Korean cars. When they we first introduced here, they were a real bargain, price wise. Now they're the same or more than American products.

This practice seems to follow about every new product.

Mahindra's sales went up 40% last year and now they're the number three seller in the US. I read this in the news on this forum. I hope they didn't follow the car example I cited, and that JD and Kubota did drop their prices, but I kinda doubt it.

I still like the looks of the Mahindra over the others but I was disappointed to see the pricing so close after reading what a bargain it was.

I believe you are comparing the wrong tractors. Compare the 3016 with the L3200. Mahindra had a $2000 - $3000 price increase from this past fall. Prices always even out in the long run and everybody does the "market share" thing when emerging . The advantage is that you no longer have to compare "prices" if they are all about the same and you can now concentrate on just the tractors properly matching your needs. Nothing in your price range is going to compare to the "beef" of the Fergy however.
