Hi folks..i have a 2014 Mahindra max 25...will turn over and blow lots of smoke...will not fire. Im told maybe glow plugs not getting juice but it is not cold for one thing... with a little shot of starting fluid it started right up.. and continued to start after it was warmed up.. not sure what to look for. HELP anyone?? thanks

I wouldn't use starting fluid on newer tractors. Check your glow plug circuit out for proper operation.
There are many threads on the pros and cons about it.

I had a Mahindra 2615. I had hard starting problems even when temps were 50-60 deg F. I also used the hot air trick to get it started. This is hard to do by yourself trying to blow hot air into the filter box while turning the key. Then I figured out my glow plugs were not working. I ended up replacing the plugs and timer circuit with an updated kit for the 2615.

Hot air from a paint stripper gun or even a hair dryer can be off help at times. In the past i have just taken of the air filter and blow the hot air into the intake. Make sure you have things cleaned up so your not sucking in grass and dirt. The paint Stripper gun puts out really hot air so be careful.
This does not fix the problem but perhaps gets it around the shop to where you need to work on it.

Could the compression be on the low side? How many hours are on the engine?

This issue is what brought me here.
My tractor is doing the same thing, I have changed the fuel shutoff solenoid and glow timer controller and it still does this. What was your issue?

Where exactly is this switch? I have changed my glow plug controller relay. I want to check my switch to see if that's the problem.
