BTW, are those 3/8 inch hooks?

Yes, 3/8" grade 70 from AW Direct.

This is what I did to the loader bucket on my 2615. The center hook allows for attaching a cable or a rope. The angle iron is 3/8" thick. Before I reinforced the top edge it was starting to bow slightly. That is only because I wasn't loading with it, but attacking one of those unmentionable tasks.

The only bending and bowing is in my aging body. The loader bucket is now as strong as could be.

You can't see the angle that I used before I welded on my 5 hooks, but I used 2x2x3/8 thick, full bucket width. I also added 8" wide by 3/8 thick flat plate to the sides and cut to match the bucket sides. 9 weld on shanks with pin on teeth and my digging bucket is all set.

I don't think that looks quite strong enough, LOL. While you think about how to beef it up, thing about this:

Brian, your bucket is like the "ALPHA BUCKET"! LOL! Man that thing looks sturdy. I'm thinking about going with 3/8" instead of 1/4".
