Actually the NX series Kiotis are very comparable to the 35 series Mahindra, or the new 3500 series. I have a 4035 and wanted to upgrade to a cab model with hydrostatic transmission. After looking at the various brands and models, I determined that the new 3500 series Mahindra was overpriced for the tractor. Nobody had a 3540 cab model in stock yet, and maybe the price will come down as time goes on, but it's actually not much heavier than the Kioti NX series (300lbs heavier) and the NX series has a very comparable loader as far as lift capacity goes, in fact the NX series loader is rated for 360lbs more than my 4035 (the new Mahindra 3540 has an upgraded loader compared to the ML120 on the 4035) and has better cycle times than the Mahindra. I found the NX4510 very comparable to the 3540 Mahindra, except in price. I ended up buying a 60hp Kioti NX6010 cab/HST, for far less than what a Mahindra 3540 would have cost. Comparing the quotes that peterc38 got, $7500 difference. That's a pretty big price gap there. You're not getting significantly more tractor, 300lbs more weight but 5hp less. The Mahindra does have bigger tires, 3 inches higher lift capacity, and higher breakout force, as well as a non-DPF engine. The mCRD engine without a DPF is an nice feature, but only time will tell whether it is actually worth spending more money for. I sure couldn't see enough value in the extra cost of the Mahindra.
