Ah yes, the Tucker. Our local snowmobile club just picked one up for the trails. It does an amazing job of grooming.

Between this and your other post, sounds like you're ready to go sledding. Have you gotten much snow on your end of the state yet?

JSTPASSING,
I went to RANGELY,did a loop around the lake to OQUASSIC,out to KEnnebago lake,toEUSTIS and back,on SAT.I would estimate there to be about a foot all tolled on average.The border mountains between KENNEBAGO AND Canada having twice that at higher elevations.Aroostook county has 3 feet ,as you know,thats where everyone is going,thats why i snowmobile in the western mountains.I usually go every weekend[day trip]I know the country like the back of my hand,for i ride atvs most weekends in the summer.
My friend who always rides with me wrecked his truck,and is in the process of replacing so he had to stay home to tie up loose ends.I make the trips each weekend for about 40 dollars worth of gas[sled and tow vehicle.My friend buys my breakfast in exchange for sharing my trailer.We meet in FARMINGTON,and drag his machine into my trailer.
Some of those guys in the TURNER club ride with us on occasion.One of the guys,is a signmaker[i wont mention his name]He has told me about that old snowmobile derby.
To keep this thread on a tractor base,i would like to mention that Rangely lake snowmobile club,only drag at night ,with this tractor, for safety purposes,and so the trails set up better.
I visit their web site regularly to keep up on conditons.They have a current weather thing,and a web cam. pretty cool check it out their web site

130,000 to 160,000. The tuckers are nice but the are very long. My favorite to drive is the BR 180. You can look out the rear view mirror and see everything. Camoplast Groomer.

Prinoth just bought out the Camoplast Groomer division.

There are at least 2 TBN members who own Snow Cats and I recall one who dives an ASV track truck. I own an Aktiv Snow Trac. BigAl owns a couple Kristicats. Not sure of anyone with a Tucker. The old steel track Tuckers sure had a lot of character and there is a collectors club dedicated to preserving them.

They had this old Tucker at the antique sled race I mentioned. I'm not sure, but I believe it was made in the "50s.

That photo looks like a Tucker 443 sedan model. They were made in the 50's and were pretty amazing units. I know they were available at least as early as '52 but probably earlier. My Snow Trac was designed in the late 50's, but remained in production almost unchanged until about 1980. Mine is from 1972.
