I'm not going to run the thing the way it is, I don't think. Yeah, it leaks a lot less when the rpm are up, but what does that mean? Does that mean the thing is actually not leaking as much, or just that the oil is filling my bell housing instead of pissing on the ground? Like Tommy says, I don't want to screw up the nearly-new clutch discs, nor do I want to risk having already loose bell housing bolts loosen enough more to cause the tractor to split itself. Nope, no little two hour job is worth trashing my tractor over, or even just making it so the repair is more difficult or more expensive. Right now I'm not looking at more than fifty bucks worth of parts - one clutch disc costs more than that and is a lot more work to install and re-adjust the whole clutch stack. Just not worth it.

The reason it doesn't leak as much during increased r/m is that the oil that is normally in the sump is being pumped topside at an increased rate and doesn't migrate back to the sump quite as quick. The oil sump doesn't get depleted due to the oil pump's by-pass valve and/or pressure regulator, which gives the oil longer residence in the sump for cooling and particle dispersal.
After seeing the pick I would have to agree with Tommy, not necessairily on the possibility of saturating the clutch disc, but running the tractor under stress in a mis-aligned relationship between the crankshaft (pilot bearing) and the transmission input shaft. All of these planets have to be in alignment.
