Couple years ago there was a show on TV about preppers that was kind of crazy because they all seemed kind of crazy. I'd be curious to see an update of that show with some of them today. There was a thread on here talking about that show and the two opposing views seemed to be those that prepped and those that said it was silly. My argument for prepping was for a natural disaster and losing power or access to the stores for several days to a week.
Now that so many people are unable to get supplies and it's become a national issue, I feel a lot better about being a prepper and having supplies on hand. We don't need for anything except keeping gasoline on hand for the generator if we where to lose power while I'm using it all mowing all the time. The garden provided us with plenty of veggies and salsa, but not enough spaghetti sauce. Our chickens are laying around 4 dozen eggs a day, which we are eating, feeding to our dogs, and trading for meat from friends. We've always bought paper products in bulk and had them delivered, so we haven't noticed a problem there.
One of my long term projects will be to have a much larger pantry. If it happened once, it can happen again. And the next time it happens, those that where caught off gaurd and didn't take advantage of the hording when it happened, will do so the next time. We will have more on hand for that day and continue to be preppers.
