Make my computer...How FAST????

Greetings:
I wonder if some of you could tell me if you have had any experience with these offers to speed up your computer.

Since the "fine print" ask not to contact any of his customers I thought thats fine with me I'll go where some reliable individuals will give me and honest apprasial of this type offer.

Not being technicially gifted as some here, I read some of it and came away with these:

1. Remember the adds for increasing you auto milage by "X"% because the big auto/oil companies are keeping the thumb locked down on increasing fuel efficiency.

2. I'll bet that "Because of the huge response" they will have received on their add...it will be extended.

However, most of it boils down to this common sense advise:

1. Put as much memory in your computer as it will hold

, and

2. Don't run things yu don't need.

Looks like a half baked BS to me. Yes you can gain a little speed by tweaking your system but putting the $60 into more memory for your system will do as much if not more than any tweak weill. Look at some of the things he is trying to speed up.

Microsoft word Its a word processor, just how fast does it have to be.
Internet explorer It going to be as fast a your network connection.
Window media player Play your music faster?
Microsoft windows Pretty open ended. Fast in what areas. again memory will do the same thing.
MS paint Again, just how fast does it need to be.
Microsoft office 2000 Its a user driven app, usually not a big issue on speed.
Notepad again a text input issue. How fast does it need to be.
Outlook express delete it off your system would be the best thing to help your PC.
Telnet The one that comes with windows is brain dead to begin with. Its speed limits are all network based.
Disk clean up A good defragger and deleting unused/needed files will always help.
