I think the real macho thing to do is just run straight non-detergent recycled single grade with no filter and change the oil every 10 hours, and bring the used oil back to the recycle center for more!

pretty well sums it up.

I guess it just makes some people feel better about their tractor to know it has the very best most expensive, slipperiest lubricants that have the lowest pour points and the highest flash points known to the oil using public.

It also makes them happier more well rounded individuals.

they probably feel like they slept at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

But the Tractor doesn't care.
