My local CNH dealer has a 70's era diesel 3000 with PS on his lot, and for 500$ more next to it, a TC33 with a few hundred hours on it and a box blade.

Go figure...

Makes ya wonder... What will the TC33 will be worth as percentage of original cost when it's 30 plus years old. And what the total cost of ownership will be after 30 years when you subtract maintainance costs and add back residual value. I'd like to believe the TC could do the same, but not so sure.

Suprisingly, some antique machines are worth much more in adjusted dollars than when new.. and I'm not just talking colelctor pieces.. I'm talking rusty greasy workers..

Maybe it's a marketing ploy. Try to steer a customer that wants a used tractor towards buying new if it's only a few grand more.
