Cliff; No doubt in my mind that some of the real farmers can get pretty sly at times. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Re: Makin\' hay with Cliff Johns

The self-propelled ones will hold around 200. I think the newest ones will do over 300 bales. You can't beat square bales for quality. You save alot more leaf and it's so much easier on the hay, especially alfalfa. The self-propelled ones are three times as fast as the tractor drawn ones. As fast as you can drive over the field it will pick them up and stack them. Unloading takes about 2 minutes.

Cliff, I have a neighbor that has the next size smaller version (80 some bale capacity) of the stacker. He talks about trading it in. Do you have a idea what a good used New Holland accumulator would be selling for?--Ken Sweet

Re: Makin\' hay with Cliff Johns

I've been following prices as I want to get one, there is a good website, Roeder Implements or something like that which sell reconditioned ones and lists all the specs. They usually sell for between 1500 - 20000 depending on age, model and location.

Some models have no push off pads, some won't auto-tie the layers, some have single bale unload (sweet as you just park at the conveyor and feed em!)

Haven't a clue, but it sounds like you may get your answer from the other Ken.
